Britney Spears ft. Lil Wayne – Bad Girl (?)

Britney Spears ft. Lil Wayne Bad Girl (?) listenA 3+ minute clip of an alleged Britney Spears track with Lil Wayne titled “Bad Girl” came to my attention thanks to various emails from fans. The track is supposed to be the first single of her upcoming “The Singles Collection” compilation album. The album will hit shelves Nov 21st, but the single will be released on Sept. 21st.

I’m a bit skeptical of this track’s authenticity, but it does sound like Britney… a Britney filtered out of her mind, circa Blackout. A bigger question mark — for me — is Lil Wayne’s verse. Maybe it’s that I haven’t been paying too much attention to Weezy since his Carter 3 album dropped, but his verse sounds like a cheap imitation.

Do you think it’s legit? And if it is, are you happy with the outcome? If this track is, in fact, the real deal… let me be the first to say that it’s pretty damn awful. When I hear about a high-profile collaboration like Lil Wayne and Britney Spears, I expect both parties to bring their A-Game. But maybe that’s too much to ask for.

Lil Wayne & Madonna – Triggerman (Snippet)

Lil Wayne & Madonna Triggerman (Snippet) listenI like snippets about as much as I like a route canal, but I just couldn’t resist when I saw this on my feed reader. Is this not the craziest collaboration ever? I mean, I heard her Madgesty was in the studio, but with the WEEZY? That’s a little (a lot) desperate.

Madonna did plenty of work with Pharrell and even a song with Kanye on her last album, Hard Candy, and it was underwhelming, to say the least (except for “Give It 2 Me” — great song!). That makes me both anxious and nervous to hear the rest of this “Triggerman.” Actually, I’m anxious to hear ANY Madonna on “Triggerman” — the 1:32 clip that has been floating around features no Madonna whatsoever. It actually sounds like Lil Wayne rapping over Britney’s “Radar.”

We all know Wayne bleeds PR, so this can totally be an elaborate (or not?) stunt to keep the Nah Right headlines coming, because his newer stuff has been drenched in gallons of suck. Catch the snippet after the jump, you know you’re dying to listen to it. Continue reading →

If you’re anything like me (hopefully you’re not), you still have no idea what/who to “be” for  this year. Hopefully this helps out a little.  and . have always been some sort of trendsetters when it comes to fashion — , well he’s a little rebel, a rebel who’s had a monstrous year. Then there’s ’s hair — now, that shit is legendary.

Finding a neon colored wig on Halloween might be tough, but I’m sure not all hope is lost.

For the threads, I suggest you raid your American Apparelled out closet, if not, hit your local AA store.

You’ll need:
1. Shiny T
2. Shiny Leggings — I recommend these
3. Accessories — My Picks: Shades | Fake Jewerly | Scarves

The Short Shorts are extremely important, that’s why they didn’t get bunched together with the other “Threads” — these shorts have to be legendary. I think these would be a great.

Last but certainly not least, the Paper Planes. What the “Stronger” shades are to Kanye, the Paper Planes are to M.I.A. Not only was “Paper Planes” her breakthrough smash single, but it has become an international phenomenom. Something as idiosyncratic as this is a MUST HAVE for your M.I.A. costume — and the cool part is that they’re free! Just make a ton of them and throw them out all night!

Here’s a little guide on how to make a great paper plane. Get your friends to help you make at least 30-50 of these!

Now and then I like to mix up how I run things ’round here, Pretty Much Amazing. If you’ve been here for a few months, you may have caught the blog in a phase where I liked to mash one day’s worth of posts into one, extra-large post. I want to give that another crack.

Why? I guess you can say I’m not a huge fan of the monotonous life. This blog started out as a fun hobby, I’ll be damned before I let my hobby become monotonous.

The (seeming) rap anthem of 2008 is, once again, remixed and re-cut by the best of the best. This time, bloggy favorite, Krames hits this track with club-ready beats. This “Swagger” remix is remarkably better than the first one I came across with. Upon first listen, you think cutting Yeezy’s verse short is a bad thing, but it makes sense after a few listens. This is a grower, for sure. It’s a goodie, though.

New Kevin Rudolf & Lil Wayne – Let It Rock

I always feel stupid when I hear a song on the radio and I don’t know what it is. Especially when I hear Lil Wayne on it. I was listening to Power 106 yesterday afternoon and THIS thumping bunch of amazing came on. I had no idea what it was. Googling up the hook, I found out that this song was called “Let It Rock.” Being the lameass bloghead that I am, I hypem’d that shit as soon as I got home. To my surprise, only ONE blog had covered this song — and to an even larger surprise, it was Digital Eargasm. Weird.

Anyway, this song is really hot. REALLY HOT. I likey.

With The Game’s LAX out next week — and it leaking this week, its about time this long-time rumored first single leaked. Eskay reports that Game wasn’t feeling the hook, so he nixed it. “Gansta Party” sounds like something 50 Cent would record and claim to be the best shit in the world.

I’m much more content with his Lil Wanye-hooked first single, “My Life.”

There has been so much new music in the interwebs over the passed few days! UGH! I couldn’t keep up! I was camping all weekend though, so maybe that is why. Thank goodness for Wordpress’ autopost functions.
