New Old Lupe Fiasco – Accept The Troubles

New Old Lupe Fiasco Accept The Troubles listenWe haven’t had a Lupe Fiasco update in quite some time — I have a hot track for all of the Lupe enthusiasts out there.

“Accept The Troubles” is a killer old demo that has finally seen the light of day. “Accept…” shows a more rough side to Lupe, something that was absurdly absent on The Cool for the most part. This is the kind of stuff I want to hear on LupEND. This track is believed to have been recorded after Lupe’s debut.

Found this one at EastofLA. Download after the jump

Unreleased Lupe Fiasco – Phat Joe

Unreleased Lupe Fiasco Phat Joe listen
Here is yet another song from the Lupe Fiasco vault — of the “something you probably haven’t heard yet” variety, of course. On this cut, Lupe reminds us that he’s always watching. Scary.

New Lupe Fiasco – I Know Why / New Sh*t

Lupe Fiasco

Here is “I Know Why,” another rare and unreleased track from the Lupe vault. The heavily featured, Gemstones (Gemini at time of recording) join him over a Prolyfic production. I’m still looking out for that “Paris, Tokyo” remix that’s supposed to drop soon. Maybe another week or two?

Here’s a viddy of Lupe performing new material live. LupEND (el you pea END) anyone?

Unreleased Kanye West – The Stalker Song (Never Lettin’ Go)

Kanye West Louis Vuitton
I guess I caught on late with this one, but I just found it via elbo. Either way, I don’t think many of you have it, or even know if its existence (like me!), so enjoy! It’s pretty decent.

New Lupe Fiasco – The Birds and the Bees (Produced by Kanye West)

Lupe Fiasco
Here’s an unreleased Lupe Fiasco track that features a sick Kanye West production credit. Attorney St. says that “The Birds and the Bees” is “an unreleased jawn that came as a result of Lupe finding an old Kanye beat CD and wanting to do his own ‘Girls, Girls, Girls.’”

Two-thirds of CRS? This feels like Christmas right now.

Thom York vs Trent Reznor: Chi-Town Take Over

Radiohead vs Nine Inch Nails

Yesterday, Chicago Sun-Times blogger, Jim DeRogatis leaked the entire lineup for what looks like 2008’s best summer music festival, Lollapalooza. The first four artists on the roster get your blood pumping, but two in particular caught my attention. Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails.

Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails have been taking turns giving the music industry the big finger. The Brits made headlines last October for releasingIn Rainbows without the control support of a record label, and Trent Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails followed suit with last month’sGhosts I-IV.

The two bands have also been busy one-upping each other with their innovative promotion strategies. Life was happy having two brilliant bands continuously providing for innovative and buzzworthy ways to distribute digital media, simultaneously help digging record labels’ graves. That is, until Reznor accused Radiohead of ripping their fans off by selling them low-quality files.

Wired has come up with a 10 round face-off between the bands, and looking at the people’s votes, it seems Nine Inch Nails has got Radiohead beat in terms of innovation. Now we pose this question, who will take over Chi-Town this first week of August (Aug 1-3)?

The official lineup is found below

Ivy League and Rich Kids are Synonymous

This Is Ivy League

Pretty Much Amazing’s Listening Booth is where we get to talk about our favorite new songs! Yay!

This Is Ivy League – The Richest Kids
Is this music or is this a mere exploitation of a hyped demographic *cough* Vampire Weekend *cough*? I’m glad to say, this is music. Real. Good. Music.

Wyclef Jean – Fast Car (remix feat. Lupe Fiasco)
At first, I thought this was just a new Lupe Fiasco track. Warning to those who want to add Cool Youg Lou to your remix team: He’s a verse hogger.

G-Unit – Grimey
In this new track from the upcoming G-Unit mixtape, 50 Cent confesses to being dirty, grimy, and filthy, but doesn’t go on to admit himself as a tired MC.

R. Kelly – Hairbraider

Obviously seeking to put claims about his kinky eccentricities to rest, R. Kelly has written this song about the qualities he looks for in a good hairdresser (chief among them: superior stripping ability).

And now moving onto our daily downloads. These are free and legal. So download away.

New MP3s: New Roots (OMG FACTOR 100%) w/ Lupe Fiasco Remix!

The Roots
1. The Roots – 75 Bars (Black’s Reconstruction) ZP3 | MP3
“Show me the puppet that don’t need a puppeteer” go the lyrics to this new Roots single. You show us that, and we’ll show you an iPod that doesn’t need this MP3. [Nah Right]

2. Lupe Fiasco – Superstar (remix feat. Young Jeezy and T.I.) ZP3 | MP3
After a semi-disastrous sophomore album, Fiasco impressively staves off irrelevance with this solid remix featuring Young Jeezy, T.I., and a pretty sweet X-Men reference. [Just a Moment]

3. Grizzly Bear – While You Wait for the Others (live on KCRW) ZP3 | MP3
This new, hypermelodic, reverb-soaked, as-yet-unreleased track is probably now the best thing in Grizzly Bear’s arsenal, and even though it’s only Thursday, we’re pretty comfortable declaring it the best MP3 you’ll download this week. [Deaf Indie Elephants]

4. Chromeo – Bonafide Lovin’ (Hatchmatik remix feat. Teki Latex)
Chromeo’s song about the advantages of loving an older man makes us feel better about getting older, but Teki Latex’s use of The Neverending Story as a metaphor for sex has ruined our childhood. [Discobelle]

5. Portishead – Silence These guys haven’t released an album since 1998. But they’re back! And they sound more or less the way they did in 1998. [Nocna Hudba]

Fall Out Boy is in their “First Trimester”

Fall Out Boy is in their First Trimester mp3

Yes, Fall Out Boy front man blue-eyed soul man Patrick Stump told MTV that the band is in their “first trimester” stage of their 4th Studio album (3rd according to the band, the refuse to awknowledge Take This To Your Grave as an album). The band has also dismissed rumors that their “next album will not be a folk album”. Oh darn! Patrick Stump also denied any rumors about collaborating with labelmates Cobra Starship. Check out your hip-hopped out Fall Out Boy remix below:
