Pretty Much Amazing Guide To: Ripping Music From Myspace And Other Streaming Sites mp3

Here’s to a new blog feature! I get emails almost daily with people asking this very question, “How do you rip music from Myspace or other music streaming sites?”. Keep sending emails with your questions and PMA might actually come up with a guide!Ever found a cool new track on myspace or another site and, to your dismaym couldn’t download it because the “owner” didn’t allow it, so you had to return to that website just to listen to that song? I’m sure we all have. With this fairly simple guide, you can rip songs till your heart (or hard drive) burts with joy (or over load, whatever).

Read the instructions carefully!

1. First download free Audacity recording software here . Follow the instructions on how to install.

2. Open Audacity. Click on the drop down option “Stereo Mix

3. Next just open the MySpace artist page which you wish to record from. Get ready to click on the play button for the song of your choice.

4. Click on the record button on Audacity. Then quickly click on the play button on the Myspace player. Because of this split second “lag time” you would later have to trim your final recording.

5. Once the song in the MySpace player stops, click on the stop button on Audacity .

6. Next you would need to trim the beginning and the end of the song. Simply drag and click on the beginning section all the way up to where the song starts. Go to Edit and click delete. Repeat the same procedure for the end.

7. Before you can save the song and export it in .mp3 format you would have to download the LAME MP3 encoding driver for Audacity to use. You can get it free here . Please note that the lame_enc.dll file is zipped so you would have to extract the file (Read here if you don’t know how to unzip).

8. Once you’ve extracted the lame_enc.dll file, save it under C:\WINDOWS\system.

9. Go back to Audacity. Click on the ” File…Export as .MP3 “ You should be able to save it as .mp3 format now. If Audacity prompts you for the lame_enc.dll file, just direct it back to where you’ve saved it earlier which is in C:\WINDOWS\system.

Happy recording! Leave a comment below and show your gratitude! SHOW IT!
