Rye Rye x M.I.A. – Bang (Cobra Krames Big Horns Remix)

Rye Rye x M.I.A. – Bang (Cobra Krames Big Horns Remix) mp3
Cobra Krames is pretty big in the right circles, in others, the Cobra is criminally ignored. Here is to bridging the gap — Krames takes on two artists that are anything but ignorable. No one saw Rye Rye and M.I.A.’s “Bang” coming, and it has since become one of the year’s best surprises and one of my personal favorite party tunes.

Like with any Cobra Krames remix, you should be excited, very excited. Continue reading →

Rye Rye & M.I.A. – Bang

Rye Rye & M.I.A. Bang listen
[rating:70/100]
This may be the first time a couple of bffs, who demanded a lot of online-attention, didn’t annoy the hell out of me. These two bffs actually make me incredibly chipper. It’s this frentic, get-crazy music that Rye Rye and M.I.A. were made to do! Straight crack from Blaqstarr on the production too. What a fantastic and fresh surprise.

Oh and this sidenote is a little annoying, but I can’t resist: doesn’t this song remind you of Slumdog Millionaire?

$100 iTunes giftcard goes to the person who comes up with the perfect Slumdog scene for “Bang” to score.* I guess you have to listen to it first. Continue reading →

New M.I.A. and Rye Rye – Tic Toc

New M.I.A. and Rye Rye - Tic Toc
Is M.I.A. channeling Madonna and Gwen Stefani on newly leaked song “Tic Toc”?. Hardly. Earlier this year, we heard rumors that our girl Maya was going to retire, but after her recent Top 5 single success with “Paper Planes” (made ultra-famous by stoner flick, Pineapple Express), M.I.A. has felt a sudden surge of inspiration — or so she said in a recent interview. Who knows what type of deal Interscope whipped up for a follow-up of the hardly hit-tacular Kala.

Though, from what I hear, M.I.A. is retired (apparently she wants to focus on her fashion line and stuff) and this track is a single off Diplo’s latest project, Rye Rye. “Tic Toc” merely features Rye Rye semi-rippin’ it over an M.I.A. track. Let’s see where this goes.
