Though many people make fun of Scarlett Johansson’s debut/Tom Waits cover album, I actually liked it — and I was excited to hear that Scarlett was covering Jeff Buckley for the kickass soundtrack of that not-too-cutesy, hey! I might actually watch that Valentines Day(ish) movie, He’s Just Not That Into You. Oh, and it’s nice to see a non-”Hallelujah” Jeff Buckley cover, too.

Scarlett Johansson’s music video for Falling Down. I know, it’s not really this blog’s type of music – but I had to share since y’all know who Scarlett is. I like the concept of the video. Song, not so much, but it’s growing on me everytime I listen to it. Please don’t get frustrated with me, it’s just my opinion.

Barack Obama – Yes We Can

If you didn’t know already, Barack Obama is running for the next president, and if he wins, he will be the first black man to lead USA. Stars and musicians like Scarlett Johansson, Kate Walsh, Nick Cannon, John Legend, Eric Balfour, Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami), Enrique Murciano (Without A Trace), Nicole Scherzinger, and Common have all contributed to make a music video inspired by his speech after the New Hampshire primary, written by Will.I.Am. Usually I don’t post stuff like this, but I think it’s time for the US to change (even though I don’t live in US) and I think Barack will be one of the best leaders of the country.
