I’ve read the emails and the comments — and even some freaky death threats. So, by popular demand, Cover Tuesday is back. Hopefully this will give you something to look forward to on Tuesdays again.

This summer has really been a good one for covers. I figured I’d so a mini-recap of the great new covers we all added (if not, do so now!) to our collections over the summer months. I’m taking about our two favorite MGMT songs being covered by some unlikely acts. Coldplay trying out dance pop. Vampire Weekend covering the only Fleetwood Mac song I like. Rihanna’s ode to Madonna. Madonna’s ode to ABBA. And Kinks going “violet.” Continue reading →

Smile! Its Tuesday which must mean its covers day here at the PMA offices (my brain). I’ve got to say, this has to be my favorite compilation of covers to date. If there ever was a hall of fame for covers, this sure comes damn close. Amazing gems that can be found here are the Foo Fighters’ rendition of Arcade Fire’s “Keep The Car Running”, purely amazing in so many different levels. Two other modern cover classics include the Editor’s spin on the Gorillaz’s Grammy jam “Feel Good Inc.” and the Arctic’s stunning cover of Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good” MP3s after the Jump!
