This is embarrassing and catchy, but it doesn’t have anything on “Let It Rock.”
I still can’t believe this happened, even if it is Weezer.

I don’t usually post tour dates on the blog, but I figured a lot of you might be interested in what cool shows have been announced in your area for the near future. I know I usually rummage the internet for such information.
Here is this the touring news for the week ending 10/23, including dates for JUSTICE, Arctic Monkeys, Wilco, Julian Casablancas, Weezer, The Antlers, Neko Case, Andrew Bird, Free Energy, The Drums and These United States. Continue reading →

Weezer performed “Kids” and “Poker Face (zomg!) at T-Mobile’s new Sidekick premiere (lame) last week. Just watch the video — Weezer always kills quirky randomness. That’s why we love them, right?

Earlier this week, Ear Farm and The Culture of Me took on Lil Wayne’s “Dr. Carter” in two surprisingly different Genius Playlists. The Culture of Me’s versatile, somewhat alternative (Cool Kids, Beastie Boys, Jurassic 5, Lupe Fiasco, etc) playlist came on top with 60% of the votes! I’m sorry Ear Farm, but the voters have booted you out!
On this fourth battle, we’re pairing up Arjan Writes and Nialler9. This time I’ve ask my friends to create a genius playlist on the most confusing song of 2008: “Human.” I was really excited to see what these two came up with for the Killers’ jam. What didn’t surprise me was that neither of their playlists disappoint. These two lists are the best we’ve seen yet, and the hardest vote so far.

It has been a long time coming, but we’re finally ready to unveil the next featured school in PMA’s ongoing College Music Project! Eight from students who live or dwell with UCLA students and have embraced the 10 quintessential UCLA dorm party songs many times. I really hope more college students continue to email me with their School’s Top 10 songs played around the halls and at parties. I’d like to make this a regular series, but I need your help!
Without further ado, here is UCLA’s Top 10 Songs (According to 8 entries) Continue reading →

Jay-Z’s performance at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York is about to
be broadcast for the whole world to see, thanks to msn.com. The concert “in its entirety” (and supposedly “unedited”) will be broadcasted starting this Tuesday Nov. 20th. Expect special guest appearances by Diddy and Weezy (Lil Wayne for you unhip folks). I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw some Beyonce cha-cha… okay maybe a little.
