Jack White released his new single “Freedom at 21” in the most analog possible way – he tied the 7” to a bunch of helium balloons and let go. On account of the fact that in situations like this only 10% of balloons are recovered, only about 30 of the 7”s have been found. In case you don’t have $3000 to blow on the vinyl on eBay, we got a rip for you. Go ahead and thank profusely whoever tracked this balloon down, because this song is probably the best Blunderbuss single we’ve heard yet, thanks to its catchy, bluesy riffage, White’s unhinged voice and quasi-rapped lyrics, and phased drums that sound like distant thunder. Blunderbuss drops April 23 on White’s own label Third Man.
