Yea dude, that thing’s permanent.
I don’t listen to the radio much since I very rarely drive. But anytime I would turn it on, I kept hearing this song “just like a tattoo / I’ll always have you,” which at the time, I thought was a terrible and cheesy analogy. However, this song is started to grow on me. Like a face tattoo. Right, Mike?
From AI’s Jordin Sparks’ new album (released today!):

How do I liveeee without you? I remember listening to this song and thinking WOW this 15 year old can sing! Granted, I was also like 15 at the time. Since I am a Carrie Underwood fan (I’m unashamed of my love of pop!), I gotta recognize that LeAnn Rimes really started the whole country/pop crossover phenomenon.
P.S. She is the first country artist to win the Grammy for Best New Artist. Shiny!
She’s not as popular in the pop world as she was at 15, but she’s still got those great vocals. From LeAnn’s newest album “Family“:
mp3: Nothing Better To Do [LeAnn Rimes]
Whoa! She looks great in the vid for “Nothing Better To Do.” I guess she has nothing better to do than look good! LOVE the hair.

OneRepublic, of Timbaland’s “Apologize” fame, released their album “dreaming out loud” today. I really like the song “Apologize,” it’s mellow and a bit melancholy. Their sound kind of reminds me of a more poppy, male Enya!
“The band was formed in Colorado by Tedder and high school classmate Zach Filkins. The pair moved to Los Angeles, where they picked up fellow Coloradan, guitarist/keyboardist Drew Brown and drummer Eddie Fisher. The band’s most recent inductee, Brent Kutzle, plays bass and adds something extra to live shows with his classical cello. In addition to his work with his own band, Tedder is a Grammy nominated writer & has written & produced tracks with/for various other artists, including Natasha Bedingfield, Jennifer Lopez, Lil’ Jon, Paul Oakenfold, t.A.T.u., Bubba Sparxxx, Tupac and uber-producer Timbaland. A remix of OneRepublic’s song “Apologize” is featured on Timbaland’s album, Shock Value.” [Amazon.com]
