“Headphones” is Little Boots’ new single, fresh off an as-yet-untitled second record that’ll reportedly be out later this year. It’s one of those lost-on-the-dance-floor club bangers in the vein of some of Lady Gaga’s – Little Boots sings about wearing headphones at the club, wrapped up in her own world; in the video she imagines a braver version of herself – but while it’s as catchy and fun (for the most part) as anything you’d see on MTV, we’re loving those weird, artstep inspired elements: that new-wavey bassline is one thing, but what about that fantastic skipped-heartbeat moment toward the end where everything just stops? Check it out.
