What you are about to watch is not a music video, but "the documentation of an epistolary-exchange lasting nearly a year," according to the artist's statement that Angel Olsen and company gave to NPR. The video was actually shot on film, and then mailed back and forth between New York and Vienna to be edited, re-exposed and whatnot. The result is a great looking video for a song that highlights Olsen's gorgeously emotive voice and haunting songwriting. "As we disappear / something else becomes real." "Tiniest Seed" and Olsen'snew single "Sweet Dreams" deserve the full screen treatment, and it may make you want to check out Half Way Home, her record that came out in September.
