Belgian born, Australian raised multi-instrumentalist Walter De Backer and his Goyte project have been around for nearly a decade now, but the artist has keep quiet since he released his sophomore effort back in 2006.
Than last year he announced that there was a new album in the works, and would be released late this summer. “Somebody That I Used To Know” is the second single from the forthcoming Making Mirrors, and features New Zealand's own singer/songwriter Kimbra.
“Somebody That I Used To Know” comprises of high pitched tones and layers of synths, but the manner in which De Backer sings would remind one of George Michael in the 80s.
Check it out; Making Mirrors drops August 19th. Random tidbit: Ashton Kutcher is a big Gotye fan.
