Sunday night, November 3rd, saw YouTube give a modest, yet loud attempt to snatch MTV's music video awards throne. The night's hosts were Reggie Watts and Jason Schwartzman, filmmaker Spike Jonze functioned as the overseeing creative director.
Despite the super typical and unsurpring nominees, the award ceremony featured some interesting acts on the stage, performing "live music videos". Not all of the performances have surfaced, but below you can watch Arcade Fire's Spike Jonze-directed, Greta Gerwig-featuring video for "Afterlife" as well as M.I.A.'s Fafi-directed clip for Matangi's life-affirming jam "Come Walk With Me".
