It’s too easy to compare on-the-rise London singer Fe to Lana Del Rey – her voice sounds like a pout, in her homemade music videos she’s prone to wearing red lipstick and staring unsettlingly into her webcam, her incorporation of canned strings is pretty masterful – but we’re hearing some of Amy Winehouse’s whiskey-and-cigarettes rasp and Angel Olsen’s buried-deep anger, too, in the scant two songs she’s released to date, “Let It Go” and “Remarkable Affair.” And the huge black hat, of course, is all Fe’s own. Here’s a YouTube channel to keep an eye on – let’s hope we hear more from her soon.
