Eating flowers. Standing on the ledge of a balcony. Hanging upside down. Showering with clothes on, all at one of the nicest hotels in LA? Welcome to Death Grips! This is a short film for the NO LOVE DEEP WEB track, “Come Up and Get Me,” and it feels something like a window into the creative process of Stefan Burnett (aka MC Ride) and Zach Hill (both of whom also directed the video). For about nine minutes it’s mostly silent, and then as the neurosis seems to hit a boiling point, the music starts. Call it avant garde or annoying, but try to watch the whole video and not be affected by it. I expect they’ll still have out attention the rest of 2013.
