Florence + The Machine Debut Four New Songs

Florence Welch and her band will drop their next record Ceremonials on Halloween, but the new songs they debuted under the Manhattan Bridge at the Creators Project’s Monster Arts and Culture Festival in Brooklyn this weekend are chilling in a whole different way.

Flo’s voice is truly stunning, even (especially?) in a live setting, and her band backs her up with complex, diverse instrumentals that employ sublime harp and tribal drums in equal measure. Through some pretty high-quality fan-shot videos, we can get a pretty good taste of album opener “Only If For A Night”, spine-tingling ballad “Never Let Me Go,” tribal dance jam “Heartlines,” and electro-inflected anthem “Spectrum,” not to mention a healthy dose of Florence’s electrifying stage presence and her band’s talent. Check them out and you’ll be as psyched to hear album versions as we are.
