You’ll likely recognize Jessie Ware’s powerhouse pipes from SBTRKT and Joker tracks, but Ware herself is killing her competition, including her former collaborators, on her latest solo tracks, including the brand new “110%.” Skittery art-step beats and pitchshifted vocal samples are one thing, but Ware effortlessly manages to bring these often-esoteric genre samples into fun pop territory in a way we haven’t seen her contemporaries do before. That middle interlude where the beat drops out and Ware’s layered voice takes center stage over a simple bass backbeat is absolutley stunning. We can’t wait to hear more from Ware. “110%” is her latest single for PMR Records – no word yet on a full-length release.
