Lupe Fiasco’s gone through some woes securing the Pete Rock sample from “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)” but that hasn’t stopped him and director Alex Nazari from putting together a great video for the track, Lupe’s first single from his upcoming Food and Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1. Sounds a little lofty, yeah, but Lupe doesn’t let up over the song’s four and a half minutes, riffing on poverty and colonialism with energetic fervor, and the video is tailor-made to match. Check it out. The record drops September 25.
