Swedish duo jj delivered one of the best musical holiday gifts you could dream of: a free mixtape featuring left-and-right sampling of hits from Kanye’s new material to Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite.” The video for first single “Let Them” has sweet-voiced singer Elin Kastlander in a pulpit preaching foulmouthed holier-than-thou hip-hop lyrics (“haters gonna hate… they ain’t gonna quit,” she croons) to an audience of one –- the other half of jj, Joakim Benon. What’s stunning about the song and video is the constant piling up of contradictions – Kastlander’s pure, sugar-sweet voice and her genre-atypical lyrics are a stark right angle against the video’s crisp church imagery. Check it out.

Isn’t this one called Kill Them on the mixtape?
it uses the same vocals but they’re different
Yes it should be Kill Them, not Let Them or Let Then…
Actually both “Kill Them” and “Let Them” are correct. I was about to change it on my blog because I was confused as well, but it appears that the single was first released as “Let Them” and then its name was changed to “Kill Them” for the mixtape. Regardless, it’s a great song, I just love it!
