On the list of mindless pop masterminds, French songstress Yelle and her band probably have prime billing. If you’re a Yelle fan, which you probably are if you have functioning ears and like to dance, you’ve been twiddling your thumbs and repeat-playing “Je Veux Te Voir” at parties since the release of 2007’s Pop Up – but Safari Disco Club drops March 29. It’s pretty much void of all the Hemingway allusions implied by the first part of the title and packed with the trappings of the “disco club” half – dirty, sexy, irresistible. You’ve probably heard the title track already, but check out the fun video, back to back with the clip for new track “Que Veux-Tu.”
