It’s been a long time since we’ve heard new material from the Canadian queen of indie pop, Leslie Feist, but her latest record Metals, her first in four years, is now (finally!) streaming on the internet for your listening pleasure.

She and her band brought a few new songs to KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic to share live versions ahead of the album’s upcoming release. Energetic, romantic ballad “The Circle Married The Line” stands out. Like Feist’s best material, it’s fun and rhythmic, toe-tapping and catchy, with a compelling mix of folky and electronic influences. Backing harmonies from the ladies of Vermont folk trio Mountain Man add another gorgeous layer. Check it out.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
