It’s been a while since we heard anything from the UK’s New Young Pony Club, but they’re back with a new single, “You Used To Be A Man,” and attendant video. They’ve still got that nervous bubblegum pop thing going – Tahita Bulmer’s layered vocals walk a thin line between sexy and creepy as background synth drones and whistle-able, catchy riffs compete for attention with driving, complex beats. The video, directed by Laura Buckley, is fantastically weird, full of kaleidoscoping mirrors and shadows. Check it out.
