Bon Iver and GAYNGS member Mike Noyce’s appearance on one of the singles from Minneapolis’s Poliça’s upcoming debut LP has spurred a six-degrees-of-separation domino effect: from Poliça, to Noyce, to Justin Vernon, to his sometime collaborator Kanye West, to his Throne-mate Jay-Z, who premiered the video for Poliça’s pbr&b jam “Lay Your Cards Out” on his lifestyle website.

We love the song’s effortless amalgamation of indie electro and top-40 pop influences, and we love its hypnotic, minimalist black-and-white video, in which golden-voiced frontwoman Channy Moon Casselle dances in balletic slow-mo to the chilly, autotuned groove of her own song, so we guess that means we have a lot of feelings in common with Jay-Z. Polica’s record, Give You The Ghost, is out February 14. Listen to more here.
