“Drifting In and Out” is arguably the best song on Porcelain Raft’s winter release Strange Weekend, so we’re psyched that it’s the record’s next single. We just wish the track had a video of the caliber that it deserves – the track’s hazy beauty doesn’t need to equal lots of background fog machine, just like the presumed authenticity that comes with a DIY look doesn’t necessitate juxtaposing every visual material you make over old VHS footage. Unfortunately, that annoying tenant of chillwave videography is exactly what Porcelain Raft’s succumbed to in this clip. Still, the track’s in the running for one of our favorites of the year.
