Savages Destroy Their US TV Debut

Another day, more melted faces from Savages, our favorite new UK export – this time, the quartet took to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to make their U.S. television debut, and as you probably could have predicted if you’ve ever seen the band live, they delivered an intense, incredible performance. Even through the fairly divorced mechanism of online videos, watching the band tear through “She Will” (and an exclusive online performance of “City’s Full”) is exhilarating – frontwoman Jehnny Beth’s physicality is intense enough that watching her smile at the end of the performance feels like looking at her doppelganger. Fallon himself says it best: “That’s the way to do it!” Check it out.
