Sigur Rós debut three new songs

A few weeks ago, Sigur Ros promised that their upcoming record, their first since the departure of one multi-instrumentalist member, Kjarten Sveinsson, will be “more aggressive” than their previous work. Now you can stop daydreaming about what more aggressive material from the ethereal Icelandic post-rock three-piece would sound like – the band’s now touring Europe and taking the opportunity to tease new material. Fan-shot video of three new tracks, reportedly titled “Kveikur,” “Yfirboro,” and “Hrafntinna,” captured at the band’s recent show in Lisbon, has now made its way to the internet. These songs are more aggressive than what we’re used to – don’t expect a mosh pit to form, but brace yourself for those waves of cathartic noise. Check it out.
