Everyone’s favorite New Yorkers, The Strokes, are releasing “Taken For A Fool” (one of the highlights from this year’s Angles) as a single, available both digitally and on 7” vinyl.

The track will be backed with a live version of the song, but not just any live version, the Madison Square Garden performance that includes a cameo appearance from the one and only Elvis Costello. Costello had opened for the band that night with a surprise three song set.

You can stream the collaborative performance below as a preview; Taken For A Fool comes out July 26th.

Charlotte Aitchison’s second LP is a warhead, a sonic sour bomb that conceals sneering attitude and caustic kiss-offs beneath an initially shimmering pop sheen.
