Last weekend at the TV On The Radio-curated All Tomorrow’s Party festival in Camber Sands, UK the band played a new song, tentatively dubbed “Mercy” for the very first time. And it’s loud. A lot louder than anything on Nine Types of Light. Could it be a raucous live rendition of a track that’ll ultimately be honed and polished by Dave Sitek’s studio wizardry? Or are TVOTR really going balls to the wall on their next album? I guess we’ll find out later this year when the band release their fifth LP through Sitek’s record label, Federal Prism.
