Vampire Weekend debut “Unbelievers”

Vampire Weekend played about five tour dates this summer and on each they busted out an alt-country tinged, rollicking new number called only “New Song #2.” If you’ve been watching poor-quality Youtube videos since July, here’s the solution – the band hit Jimmy Kimmel last night (in ornate Halloween makeup) to perform the track, which turns out to be called “Unbelievers.” It’s a nice little step forward for the band that has us psyched about new material but retains all your favorite Vampire Weekend tropes – horns and strings, harmonic and verbose vocals, concise and driving instrumentals. Check it out.
