As was noted when spoke about high levels of excitement for the new phoenix album, Phoenix have a way somewhat mysterious way of making you love them quickly, and, on stage, Thomas Mars has the disaffected look of a rock star that’s offputting and magnetic at the same time. He took that Parisian cool to SNL this past weekend, where they performed three cuts from Bankrupt. Check out “Entertainment,” “Trying to Be Cool” and “Drakkar Noir.”
