MP3: Edward Sharpe's Alexander Ebert - "Truth" f/ The RZA

Alexander Ebert

When Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros dropped their debut full length, it was quickly embraced by music fans with its easily accessible, unavoidable tunes “40 Day Dream” and “Home.” The frontman behind the rather large collective, Alexander Ebert (no his name is not Edward Sharpe, sadly) followed the record's success with a solo effort this year called Alexander.

The album failed to make much of a splash which is probably what prompted Ebert to give away "Truth" for free. “Truth”, featuring The RZA, is straight out of a country Western movie, strengthened by whistles and subtle acoustic strings. It's all over once RZA drops his verse. Download the song below, and check out Alexander since you probably haven't.
