Chicago MC and Fool’s Gold femme fatale Kid Sister has finally dropped her much-anticipated mixtape Kiss Kiss Kiss. The project, mixed by producer extraordinaire Nick Catchdubs, is thirteen dance floor-ready songs with some out-of-this-world interpolations –- Nina Sky, Gucci Mane. Kid Sister’s voice – half singing, half rapping, sometimes both – is great, appropriately girl-next-door, and the beats are absolutely flawless, dance-y and fun as hell without being stereotypically so. It’s an endlessly enjoyable mixtape, as perfect for a night partying with friends as it is to assuage your snowed-in boredom. Whatever the circumstance, give it a listen, or several.
