MP3: Emmy The Great - "Century of Sleep"

Emmy The Great

London songstress Emma Lee-Moss, known around the world as Emmy The Great, is giving away the first single from her upcoming sophomore record, Virtue, the followup to 2009's widely received debut, First Love.

Premiered on RCRD LBL, “Century of Sleep” refers to Emmy's recent publicized heartbreak, when her atheist fiance broke off their wedding engagement when he found religion, causing her to completely alter the perspective of the new record. The song is ironically backed by choir singers which helps give it a certain church sound, though it's Emmy's disposition and her lyrics that are most intriguing.
