After watching the new video for “Strawberry Skies” from Games' debut EP, That We Can Play, it would be absurd of you to think it came from any other time period than the 80s. Directed by Josef Kraska, it hazily recollects video advertisements for chatlines and escorts before moving to a steamy shower scene. The low resolution, groovy hairstyles and ginormous telephones hint that this is all authentic late-night 80s TV. It syncs quite well with the Laurel Halo-led funkadelic single, which happens to front a dreamy ambience, retro synth sounds, a groovy disco backdrop and Oriental samples and percussion.
