Everyone knows that Canadian cohorts P.S. I Love You and Diamond Rings are friends, though you wouldn't tell by their respective debut albums (Meet Me At Muster Station, Special Affections) that both dropped last year. John O'Regan a.k.a. Diamond Rings has become a local hero in Toronto, recently touring with Swedish diva Robyn (how fitting), and P.S. I Love You has become a growing name amongst garage rock duos. The two outfits have recently declared they'd be embarking on a joint tour, jumping on that Best Coast/Wavves bandwagon, and now P.S. I Love You has dropped a new single, which features O'Regan on lead vocals.
“Leftovers” is a fuzzy, lo-fi garage tune, weird at first to hear O'Regan's distinct baritone over raging guitar riffs and percussion instead of synths and drum machines, but it works quite well together, merging the best of both worlds. Two b-sides will support Leftovers, which is out digitally February 22nd via Paper Bag.
