It seems Apple isn't the only corporation that likes indie music. American Express's new holiday themed campaign for ZNYC happens to include new music from Passion Pit, Andrew Bird and The Antlers. It's been a while since we've heard anything fresh from any of them, particularly the Antlers, whose utterly poignant concept record, last year's Hospice, won the acclaim of fans and reviewers everywhere. Unlike the chilly despondence of Hospice, their new track “Bird Bank,” is a jovial electro pop instrumental, glistening with synths and dreamy computerized sounds, very suitable for the wintertime. Thanks Amex! Let's hope Visa and Mastercard follow suit.
