Mashup-centric DJ duo The Hood Internet have just dropped this lovely jam on our laps. We hear that The Hood is planning on releasing a collection of original tracks soon. We are not sure if this cover of the xx's "VCR" — featuring Freddie Gibs, Class Actress' Elizabeth Harper, or Telli of Ninjasonik — is what they're talking about, but we are definitely fans.

Com Truise - "Cathode Girls"
Regular Daily 5er Com Truise releases yet another free MP3. This time, "Cathode Girls" an enmeshed jam from the producer's forthcoming Galactic Melt LP, due out July 5 on the famous Ghostly International.

Ariel Pink - "Fright Night" (Dam-Funk Remix)
Incumbent Ambassador of Funk, Dam-Funk, has remixed "Fright Night" from Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti's lauded Before Today LP.

Matthewdavid - "Like You Mean It"
Flying Lotus' record label Brainfeeder released Los Angeles producer Matthewdavid's very, very strange (and mostly competent, to be honest) debut LP Outmind last month. The experimental producer is giving away album cut "Like You Mean It" for free.
