The National: "Afraid of Everyone"

Since giving away "Bloodbuzz Ohio" worked out for the band, The National and their label have decided to also give away another High Violet track, "Afraid of Everyone" for free.

Yesterday, after hearing similarities between the National b-side "Sin-Eaters" and Shutter Island's score, I flirted the idea of having a National song on the Scorsese film, and it's since become a small obsession of mine to try and find the song fit for the job and I think I've found it with "Afraid of Everyone".

The song is beaming with grandeur and gut-wrenching moments — moments that remind me why I listen to music in the first place. I strongly urge you to download this track immediately.

Pre-order the National's upcoming LPHigh Violet and get a “City Lights” t-shirt.
