Arcade Fire scoring new Spike Jonze film 'Her'

When Arcade Fire decide to come back, they go all in. In addition to appearing in a Peter Gabriel tribute album next month, and releasing a new album on October 29 (which may or may not be called REFLEKTOR), the band has made new music for the upcoming Spike Jonze film, Her. This wouldn't be the first time AF has collaborated with Jonze — back in 2010, a stripped down version of the band's "Wake Up" appeared on the trailer for Jonze's last film, Where The Wild Things Are, then in 2011 Jonze directed a short film for the band called Scenes From The Suburbs.

Her centers around a man (Joaquin Phoenix), living in near-future Los Angeles, who buys the world's first artificially intelligent operating system and falls in love with it/her. "It basically turns into a human, this entity, this consciousness, on his computer," said Jonze. Scarlett Johansson provides the voice of the operating system. Rooney Mara, Amy Adams, Chris Pratt and Olivia Wilde also star. Watch the trailer below:
