Belle and Sebastian Announce Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance

Their ninth studio record and first since 2010's Write About Love.

Belle and Sebastian have been busy since the release of their eighth record, Write About Love, in 2010, just not with much new music. But they've just announced their ninth LP, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, which they recorded in Georgia with Animal Collective'sMerriweather Post Pavilion producer Ben H. Allen III. You can watch a trailer for the record below, in which the band explore Atlanta, work in the studio, and talk about the album's apparent Southern and hip-hop influences (!!!). We also threw in "The Boy With the Arab Strap" for good measure / in case you forgot that song is one of the best ever. Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance is out January 20th of next year via the band's longtime label Matador.
