Grouper's Liz Harris is gearing up to release a new record, Ruins, recorded primarily in Portugal during a 2011 residency at Galeria Ze Dos Bois. She says the music was heavily influenced by "political anger and emotional garbage," as well as a walk along the beach through ruined estates and villages she took every day. Appropriately, it's out on Halloween. That's the cover art above; peruse the tracklist below while you listen to still-my-favorite Grouper song.
