Record Store Day has become a glorious tradition for music enthusiasts over the last few years, as more and more cities have taken part, with record stores across North America participating in a day-long extravaganza that offers limited and exclusive records for only the most serious of music fans.
This year, in addition to its previous April event, there will be a Black Friday edition (which lands on November 28th), and will feature, as always, an eclectic mix of offerings from both mainstream and indie artists, including a 12" Aaliyah record, a Ramones comp curated by Morrisey, a 10" from St. Vincent (which will feature two new songs), a South Park 10" that will feature their parody of Kanye West's "Bound 2" ("My Bitch Ain't No Hobbit"), Outkast's "Player's Ball", new stuff from CHVRCHES and Jenny Lewis, and much, much more (not to mention the soundtracks to Little Miss Sunshine and The Big Lebowski getting vinyl releases).
