Jack White Talks Kanye West, Jay-Z in New Interview

Also praises the Yeezus tour as one of the best concerts he's ever seen

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Jack White goes over a myriad of topics, including explaining why the crowds attending his concerts suck, the reported collaboration with Jay-Z, and that Kanye West asked him to collaborate on his excellent sixth album, Yeezus, but never followed up. White also talks about seeing the Yeezus tour: "That might have been the greatest show I've seen in my life. It was more punk, more in-your-face than anything I've seen."

While discussing hitting up the studio with Jay-Z, White said of the unfinished track reportedly called "Ray-Bans" and other songs they worked on that "I’m not sure he liked them." On the subject of crowds circa 2014, he essentially said they were lame. “People can’t clap anymore, because they’ve got a fucking texting thing in their fucking hand, and probably a drink, too!” he explained.

Rolling Stone confirms that more quotes from the entertaining interview are to follow soon. So stay tuned. In the meanwhile, watch the video for "High Ball Stepper" from White's forthcoming Lazaretto. It drops on June 10th.
