Last Friday, Lady Gaga shared “Perfect Illusion”, her fiery new single, co-produced by Mark Ronson, Tame Impala, and Bloodpop (fka Blood Diamonds) and now she’s announced a new album, Joanne, named after her late aunt (she died of lupus at 19). The album is out October 21.
Along the aforementioned producers, Joanne will feature some more of your favorite artists, or “music nerds,” as Gaga puts it, including Father John Misty, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, Beck, and Josh Homme. Nashville songwriter Hillary Lindsey, who penned the excellent “Girl Crush”, also worked on the album.
We’ll see how it all comes together real soon! Check out the cover below.
