LCD Soundsystem Doc to Premiere at Sundance 2012


If you’re one of the 99.9% of the world who missed LCD Soundsystem’s final shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden, you check out at least some of the festivities you missed for the low, low price of a ticket to the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

The storied film festival will be screening the documentary SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS, named by the Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, in their non-competition “Spotlight” category; the film, directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace (who both worked on the 2010 Blur doc, No Distance Left To Run), covers LCD frontman James Murphy’s 48 hours leading up to and following his band’s final show.
