New Music: Haim, Fischerspooner, Baio, Paramore

Publish date:

Haim share another track from their upcoming LP, Something to Tell You. They premiered it last month on Saturday Night Live. It sounds as lovely as it did then.

Fischerspooner is back with a new album called SIR, their first since 2009’s Entertainment. The entire album, including new single “Have Fun Tonight”, was co-written and co-produced by R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe. The LP is out September 22.

Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio has a new video for his single “Philosophy!“ from his upcoming sophomore album, Man of the World (June 30). That’s right: in the time since the last Vampire Weekend album, Modern Vampires of the City, came out in 2013, Baio has had enough time off to record two solo albums. Fret not, the band says Mitsubishi Macchiato, or whatever, is almost ready.

Pop-punks Paramore win the internet today with their cover of Drake’s early summer jam “Passionfruit”. The band is just off releasing a very well-received new album, After Laughter.
