Album Stream: Cloud Nothings - Here and Nowhere Else

Publish date:
Cloud Nothings Here and Nowhere

Lest we forget, the Cleveland punk dudes' Cloud Nothings' last record, Attack On Memory, featured as its centerpiece a nine-minute dirge / emotional bulldozer called "Wasted Days" which includes the scream-along lyric "I THOUGHT! I WOULD! BE MORE! THAN THIS!" (capitals are indeed necessary to capture the furor with which frontman Dylan Baldi unleashes devastation). The guys have matured to the point where they don't need to get so heavy-handed to capture complicated feelings - case in point, you can now stream Here and Nowhere Else, the band's third proper album, which sees Baldi delivering soul-searching, meditative lines over his band's ferocious, rhythmic assault. You know how much we dig "Psychic Trauma" and "I'm Not Part of Me;" check out "Quieter Today" too. You can pick up a copy in a record store starting April 1.
