Willis Earl Beal's sophomore effort Nobody knows. is one of our most anticipated records of 2013 thanks to the gentle, eerie, blues-y creepiness of its early singles, so we're excited that NPR's streaming the record a week in advance of its September 10th release date. It's a fantastic album - at times instantly accessible and identifiable in the manner of the blues, at times deeply experimental. Opening cut "Wavering Lines" is a revelation of a capella vocals and a slow-moving cello line, then it breaks into the big-band meander of Cat Power duet "Coming Through;" all in all, it's an excellent, moving listen - check it out.
