Late last night, a radio rip of Amy Winehouse's collaboration with Nas,"Like Smoke", surfaced. (The song was recorded in 2008, at the height of Winehouse's very public struggles.) A second unreleased song has now made its way online; "Our Day Will Come", recorded in 2002, sounds like a better candidate for commercial release.
"Our Day Will Come" is a reworking of the 60s Doo Wop classic, popularized by Ruby & The Romantics. "Our Day", along with "Like Smoke", will be included in Lioness: Hidden Treasures, the first posthumous Amy Winehouse album. The collection will be out December 5. Read more on the tracklist here.
Winehouse has never been shy about recording covers, having included many has bonus tracks on her albums. Most famously, she covered The Zuton's "Valarie" with Mark Ronson at the peak of her powers.
