Cold Showers - "The Fire"

The L.A. quartet Cold Showers sound like their name - a kind of questionably-effective, hopeless detox from something that hurts so good, and for which you just can't stop yearning. We were really impressed by the handful of singles they released last year, and here's another, "The Fire," which'll presumably back an upcoming 7" called Still Life. Listen, probably most effectively past midnight in the rain with the lights aglow on the street outside, as the band transmute shoegaze's walls of sound and morose lyrics into something all their own, thanks to that irresistible, rollicking kraut-y drive. Check it out.
